DEPOPULATION DEPARTMENT is a Punk/Crust band formed by four spanish scene veterans:
Ana, Lucky, Luisma and Jose who were involved in bands such as Haemorrhage, Ultimo Gobierno, etc.

What do you know about the Spanish crust punk scene? They have so many cool bands, and even newcomers are
playing bloody good stuff! I can`t say that Depopulation Department is new in this deal, this band consists of
real veterans of the scene (Avulsed, Haemorrhage, Ultimo Gobierno). Last year these guys released a new
mini-album “Starvation”… this work has 8 songs of the harsh unstoppable crust. There are no dark melodies,
stupid samples, weird additional instruments, and other modern things… we have here just straight angry, and
fast music!
To be honest, these are pretty brutal tunes, and I love them! Screams, growls… awesome d-beat that is crushing your
skull beat by beat. Simple but memorable riffing, a few wonderful guitar solos, and crispy bass. All together it
creates an image of total destruction and agony. This is not the kind of music that will cheer you up, this is
a more serious approach. Must admit that Depopulation Department managed to create a really gloomy record.
You won`t find any song about pink unicorns here, all songs are full of acute social topics that affect everyone.
Released on 10" vinyl, this CD version comes with those 7 songs plus 3 bonus songs!
