Afterpill / Double Me - split 7"
2 different colored covers - Black cover and Red cover
black vinyl
Afterpill - powerviolence from Quebec
Double Me - powerviolence from Italy
Double Me - comparing their “Destroyed In a Second” LP with this split, but that is absolutely okay. The
rhythm of this material has great energy. These guys found a good balance and managed to create solid stuff, short and
sharp songs with crazy structures will bring you a lot of joy! This is a great addition to their growing discography.
Their Canadian counterparts Afterpill approach the collaborative split with the very close approach. This spasmodic
powerviolence is characterized by a crunchy bass sound (just a little bit different from Double Me), and yeah, the
vocal has the same power and pissed-off energy, but it differs (obviously). The tempo shifts and the groovy energy of
this material tastes good. But again this is not a super low, heavy and bulldozing kind of powerviolence, this work is
closer to hardcore… Good bass tone, fast drums and a ton of pumping energy, what more could you want?
